New KB article: OpsMgr Console doesn’t open on RMS and gives an SDK service error

When one tries to open the OpsMgr Console on the RMS (isn’t best practice at all, but that is something different all together) an error might pop up stating the SDK Service hasn’t initialized.

The OpsMgr event log of the RMS shows EventID 26322, with this description: ‘…A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections…
